It looked like an epic sunset from the window.
I was still busy finishing work. Should we grab the bicycles and go out to watch the sunset? Can I finish the work later?
We hesitated for a moment, until a moment later we were out.
It’s the same with everything, I wrote on my Instagram a few days earlier. The best things happen, when you put in that extra effort. We had decided not to miss the opportunity to watch a beautiful sunset.
Was it worth it?
This time no. It was a very quick sunset.
5 minutes later the sky was very dark.
But as a result, I’ll cut this article short. Because it’s late already.
Do More of What you Love
If there’s one thing I have learned through my experiences so far then this is it.
Do things that make you happy. Do things you enjoy doing. Do it more. If you don’t know what it is (it’s okay), experiment. Be a good person, but remember that you don’t have to please anyone. This is your life, live it as you want it.
I don’t remember much (and don’t want to) about what I did until the age of 26, before travel changed everything, but I do enjoy thinking about the every single year that has followed.
It has never been easy. That’s the hard part. It doesn’t get easier.
It’s not easy to do things you love.
But you love doing it anyway.
Because of the many, often small moments of pure happiness.
That’s it. And now here are some beautiful photos from our last week’s adventures.
Or more exactly – last weekend’s adventures. A couple of cycling trips near Riga. A sunrise in Great Kemeri bog. Many hours of driving an electric scooter. Rain. Sun. Getting lost. Unexpected meetings. Unseen places in our own backyard, like the Voleri neighbourhood. It wasn’t easy. But it was fun. And cold, hot, wet and dirty.
