My Story (Kaspars)
Well… here’s a very short version of how it all started.
My name is Kaspars. I’m from Latvia. I love to travel & I would like to inspire you to travel more. Since 2013 I’ve been traveling extensively, spending abroad on average 6+ months every year.
But it all started in 2012, when together with my girlfriend I went on my very first trip abroad.
I was 25. And, yes, I had never been abroad up until then.
We really enjoyed this trip. And so only a month later followed our second trip. This time to Berlin. Then there was a short trip to Istanbul. And some 8 months later we hiked a part of Camino de Santiago hike in Spain. We were hooked. So… only a few more months later, after giving away most of our stuff, we went on an open-ended cycling trip all around India.
Why? Because it felt like the right thing to do.
Wasn’t it scary? Of course it was. But we did it anyway.
What seemed to be the biggest gamble of our lives turned out to be a great success.
We had found a new passion we had no idea about before. Travel.
It wasn’t always easy.
But years have passed and we are still traveling.
Together we run a few travel websites, which includes Connecting Flights Guide, latviesicelo.lv (Latvians Traveling) and a Facebook group under the same name – Latvieši Ceļo, with more than 45 000 travelers from Latvia. Make Adventure Happen is the newest addition to the family.
