Atatürk Kültür Parkı is a great place because of two reasons.
It’s close to the old town and it offers beautiful views of the Konyaalti Beach area, the most popular beach in Antalya. Situated both close to the beach and in walking distance from the old town, it’s a very cool place to go for a walk in Antalya. It’s also a great place to hide from the sun, if and when it gets too hot for you.

Atatürk Kültür Parkı, Antalya: Basics
Ataturk Kultur park is quite a big park.
At the same time, it’s just a regular park, a place you go for a jog, picnic with your family or a relaxed walk. If you want something more, something more adventurous and also more beautiful, check out this scenic hike in Antalya.
OUR ROUTE:
We started from the old town, and finished on the beach.
TIME & DISTANCE: around 4.66 miles / 7.5 km one way (90 minutes).
In the map above I’ve recorded it only one way.
TIPS: it’s all more or less flat, so you can also easily cycle there. On the last bit down to the beach you can either take the stairs or the free elevator, both are close to each other. You can use a bus to go back to the old town. To find the right bus in Antalya, use Moovit app. At least in 2021, Google Maps isn’t showing public transportation in Antalya.
Old Town to Atatürk Kültür Parkı: Our Experience
Here are a few photos from our walk.
Take into account that it was in May 2021, during a national lockdown, when only tourists were allowed outside. So, don’t expect it to be as empty and quiet on a regular sunny day. It’s very close to the city center and the old town, so it’s a rather busy place in normal times. The park is quite big — we walked only half way through it.

This is the beach you get to if you only walk down the stairs, cross the road and walk for a minute – Konyaalti Beach. It’s the least busy part of this otherwise very popular beach.

Have you been to Antalya? Did you go cycling or hiking in Antalya or somewhere near? What was your experience?
Book Your Trip Like a PRO
1. Book Your Flight. Find cheap flights using Kiwi.com, Momondo.com. Or subscribe to Dollar Flight Club, if you don’t want to be searching for the flights yourself. Kiwi currently is my first choice.
2. Book Your Accommodation. Booking.com, Agoda.com and Airbnb. I use Booking and Agoda at least a dozen times a year, and Airbnb – when looking for a long-term stay. My best tip is to ALWAYS compare the price. Sometimes the same hotel is cheaper on Booking.com, other times – on Agoda. Always compare the price!
3. Buy Your Travel Insurance. Ekta and SafetyWings are two companies I can recommend. Ekta offers some extra benefits, that will be important for those doing some higher risk activities (make sure to choose the right plan!), while SafetyWings is better for digital nomads. SafetyWings is also very affordable.
